HD Hudson offers three different models of backpack sprayers:

Hudson SP1 Multi-Purpose Professional Bak-Pak Sprayer – Model 97154
The Hudson SP1 sprayer is very well rated by it’s customers.
USE: This unit is designed for agrichemicals (herbicides, pesticides or fertilizers) and can also be used with stains and sealers. Do not use with bleach or disinfectants. You will need to use the Hudson PS2 sprayer.
Tank Size: 4 gallons or 15 liters.
Durability and Quality
Hudson has an excellent reputation for durability and quality and it is evident by the glowing reviews they get from their customers. It’s the small things like the metal lever that connects the handle with the diaphragm pump – most companies use a hard plastic lever which breaks easier.
It has a brass wand (not plastic) and brass tip.
Has Viton Seals – which means what? Generally speaking, products molded using genuine Viton o-rings provide exceptional resistance to leaks and chemicals. That is why this sprayer doesn’t leak like less expensive sprayers do.
Sealed Diaphragm Pump – The pumping handle moves the diaphragm up and down to create the pressure in the unit.
Adjustable Padded Straps – the pull tabs help you to easily distribute the weight of the tank on your body. Hudson has put a lot of thought into their straps in order to provide greater comfort.
Cleaning: Pour in 1/2 gallon of fresh water and swish around inside the tank. Pressurize and flush the pumping system until empty to ensure that the hose, wand and nozzle are clean too.
Never store chemicals or water in the unit. Ensure the unit is clean and empty when storing.
What is the difference between the Hudson PS1 and PS2?
The PS1 has a Diaphragm pump where the PS2 has a piston pump.
The PS1 is designed for agriproducts, stains and sealers where the PS2 can be used for agriproducts and chlorine.
PS1 provides pressure at 70 psi and the PS2 provides pressure at a whopping 180 psi.
